One of the most memorable characters of Prabhas, Sivaji from S S Rajamouli’s blockbuster film ‘Chatrapathi’ (2005), is back.
But this time with a different identity. The Hindi remake of this film, also titled ‘Chatrapathi’, is all set to be released soon. It features Telugu actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas as the lead protagonist, who is also making his Bollywood debut with this film. Yesterday, the makers of the film dropped the teaser first look of the remake of the classic hit.
This time, the protagonist will not just present his angry young side to the Hindi cinemagoers but also the pan-India audience. ‘Chatrapathi’ will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu Kannada and Malayalam languages. It is directed by V V Vinayak.
Pen Movies, that is producing the film, shared the first look poster of ‘Chatrapathi’ on their Twitter handle and captioned, “Action, drama and a whole lot of dhamaka! Bringing to you an action-packed remake of #Prabhas & @ssrajamouli’s “Chatrapathi” starring none other than @BSaiSreenivas. ‘Chatrapathi’ is scheduled to release on May 12, 2023. Made on a big budget, the action entertainer is written by K V Vijayendra Prasad, who also wrote the original.
‘Chatrapathi’ also stars Nushratt Bharuccha in the lead and the music for the film is composed by Tanishk Bagchi.
