Akshay Kumar, who has marked himself as a contrasting actor for his unique roles, is back again with another striking story ‘Selfiee’, where he has joined hands with Emraan Hashmi for the first time. Akshay was last seen in ‘Ram Setu’ (2022), which gave fans quite a different kind of experience with its adventurous storyline.
The news of ‘Selfiee’ was announced in January this year through a video, where we witnessed that the actor duo were clicking selfies with fans and with each other on road. It was also announced that the film is the Hindi remake of Malayalam film ‘Driving Lisence’ (2019), where Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu had collaborated. The Hindi remake also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty as female leads.
At the very first before the announcement, Akshay and Emraan had shared a picture of themselves while riding bikes and clicking selfie together. The picture made fans quite curious for the surprise collaboration of the duo. Later the actors revealed about Nushrratt and Diana again through a video, where we saw the four of them clicking selfies together while dancing inside a car.
Today, Akshay dropped the first picture of himself from the shooting set of ‘Selfiee’s first song. Akshay is seen wearing only a multicolored fur jacket and a black pant and shoes, while flaunting his toned physique. He is looking dope as always sitting on the front glass of a convertible red car. According his caption, today is the first day of shooting for the song as he wrote, “My mantra for today – Garmi, humidity aur faux fur…Sab chalega, bas kaam kar, kaam kar. Shooting a mast new song for #Selfiee. See you in cinemas on February 24.”
