Even after releasing on May 27, Tom Cruise’s ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ is literally winning hearts worldwide still now. Continuing with its hypersonic run, on August 21 on its 13th weekend, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ crossed the $1.4 billion mark at the box office worldwide. The film has thus created a history for Paramount Pictures.
Not only for Paramount Pictures, but ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ has now also created history by leaving behind Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ (2018), which is one of the highest grossers of all time and snatched the sixth highest place at the box office. Each week, the Tom Cruise-starrer is making a new record without even having a major release in China and Russia.
The Joseph Kosinski directorial sequel of ‘Top Gun’ (1986) has literally spilled magic at the box office in United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Japan, Korea and Saudi Arabia. In UK, it has collected $98.5 million, $85.8 million in Japan, $64.6 million in South Korea, $62.2 million in Australia, $54.7 million in France and $34.8 million in Germany. On August 21 on its 13th weekend, the film earned $24 million in Taiwan and over $21 million from Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
Now let’s wait and watch how many more records does the film break in future.
