She had a career spanning over seven decades in the entertainment industry and has a millions of admirers. Betty’s death gave a huge shock to the whole world as all were gearing up to celebrate the beloved icon’s 100th birthday.
But that doesn’t mean fans won’t celebrate her birthday even after her death and that’s what exactly Google did. Today on January 17 on Betty White’s 100th birthday, the tech giant has planted a lovely tribute in the form of an Easter Egg in its search engine. You just need to type “Betty White” in the search bar and as a result the webpage will sprinkle rose petals along with a note written, “Thank you for being a friend 1922-2021.”
It’s also been reported that the National Geographic Channel will be celebrating Betty White’s tribute tomorrow and will broadcast a special show named, ‘Betty Goes Wild’ and also is going to donate $25,000 to the Los Angeles Zoo in her honor.
