Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Jersey’ unveiled its trailer that is releasing in the theatres on 31st December this year. The movie is a sports drama based on the life of a failed cricketer. The trailer got a good response after it was released.
Written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, it is the remake of a Telugu language movie of the same name. Shahid Kapoor is seen paired with Mrunal Thakur. The story revolves around Shahid’s life who failed as a cricketer who let down his wife for his mistakes. Shahid plays the role of Arjun who is in his mid-thirties and has stopped playing cricket ten years ago. Mrunal is playing the role of his wife.
He wants to buy a jersey for his son and asks for money from his wife, which she denies. She later finds him stealing money from her wallet and slaps him. These incidents force him to make the decision of returning back to cricket so that he can earn his child’s respect. He doesn’t want his son to consider him as a failure like everyone else. We also get to see flashbacks of Shahid’s life in the trailer.
Shahid looked a better version of Kabir Singh in the trailer with beards and hairstyle somewhat similar to that look. He took to Instagram and shared the poster of the film. He wrote, “ITS TIME !
