Akshay Kumar has recently posted a video of him promoting a children’s book named, ‘When I Grow Up, I Want To Be…’ on his Twitter. The book is all about few stories of real-life heroes and their deeds.
In the video, Akshay Kumar is seen narrating a story from the book. It’s a story about a rickshaw puller named, Javed Khan from Bhopal. In this Covid-19 pandemic, when patients were breathless, but ambulances refused to carry them to the hospitals as they couldn’t pay the fare as the charges were too high. Seeing them in such pain, Javed Khan desperately wanted to help them. So, his wife gave him an idea to sell her all jewelleries and buy fuel to drive those patients to the hospitals for free. After that Javed Khan informed his neighbours about his plan and shared his number on the internet for anybody in search of vehicle. Then he got a lot of phone calls flooded from everywhere asking for help saying, “Javed Bhaiya can you help us? Javed bhaiya please drive my mother to the hospital”. In two weeks Javed Khan has ferried over 100 patients to the hospitals.
