Talented actress Swara Bhaskar who wowed audiences and critics alike with her heart warming performance in 2016’s surprise hit ‘Nil Battey Sannata’ is all set to give her fans reason to cheer. Swara will be seen in a new, never-seen-before avataar as Anaarkali – star orchestra party performer and singer of double-meaning songs in Aaraah- town of Bihar.
The film which revolves around the tumultuous journey of Anaarkali as a naach party singer and as a woman in an unruly and volatile man’s world. The film has been written and directed by debut director Avinash Das.
Touted as being Swara’s best performance so far; the film also boasts of a star cast including the brilliant Sanjay Mishra (Aankho Dekhi, Masaan) and the versatile and uber talented Pankaj Tripathi (Masaan, Nil Battey Sannata, Gangs of Wasseypur).
Produced by Sandiip Kapoor of Promodome Motion Pictures, the film is slated to release on 24th March 2017.
