Ajay Devgn’s 100th film, ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ is all set to make your Independence Day filled with thrill and pride. The family entertainer celebrates the massive victory of Tanaji Malusare against Udaybhan to win back the Sinhagad Fort. Tanaji Malusare was known for his intelligence, strength and his valour still makes the Nation proud. This chapter from history is one of the key moments which changed the map of India.
Premiering on the 74th Independence Day, ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ is a great story to revisit for every Indian.
Ajay Devgn always had a special relationship with Star Gold which has been a home for many of his releases. The audiences in Maharashtra can watch the film in the language of their heartland by choosing the Marathi option on their channel/television. Tanaji’s win against the Mughal Warrior Udaybhan Singh to take back Sinhagad fort was one of the biggest historic moments for India. Kajol who was seen essaying the role of Savitribai (Tanhaji’s wife) is also a Maharashtrian on her mother Tanuja’s side. The actress wore the traditional Maharashtrian attire ‘Nauvari’ for the film.

The film has received a lot of love from day one and watching it on Independence Day will make the experience even better. It will be premiering on Star Gold at 12 PM IST. As a tribute and mark of respect to Tanhaji, Star Gold will showcase the movie with Marathi language option (other than Hindi). Marathi option will be available for ALL DTH subscribers and select local cable subscribers.
