Written and directed by Hitesh Kewalya, homosexuality is depicted here to be accepted in the Indian society. What a couple faces to fight for their love is the crux of the story and he successfully masters the nitty-gritty of misunderstandings among parents and the Indian culture. Ayushmann Khurrana does make a bold move, although this time, he essays a romantic role with aplomb. The conservative audience may even completely side with him as he and the talented Jitendra Kumar, decide to face the music, in a series of awkward moments, with a story set in a small town. Laughable at times but also true on the flipside, as this story is relatable to those who go all the way to express their real love in public. Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao assume their role adequately and shine in most of the scenes, as a couple and individually. The one-liners and dialogues could have been punchier. Music is strictly average. The issues of the gay community need to be told and the script manages to convey the main message, despite dramatization at places.
